LONDON OLYMPICS TICKETMASTER CHARGE TWICE.
How can it happen?
Yet again Ticket master gets it wrong again.
This blog was setup to help promote these games but yet again we find ourselves reporting on the negative aspects of the forth coming London 2012 Olympic Games.
It has just been reported that ticketmaster charged 700 customers twice on their visa accounts, ticketmaster has also confirmed these accounts have since been refunded but some of the people charged has inadvertently been charge overdraft charges through no fault of their own!
We ask again how can this mistake happen in this day and age?
2012 OLYMPIC TORCH NOMINATIONS.
It has come to our attention that although the the routes around the UK are known the same is not true about who might be carrying the said Olympic Torch so we think its only proper to help out the organisers and nominate who we think should be torch carriers.
In this list we do not exclude the disabled for obvious reasons.
David Tennant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Kate Moss, Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Professor Stephen Hawkins, Ray Winstone, Billy Connolly, Michael McIntyre, Michael Caine, Peter Kay, Barbara Windsor, David Essex, David Bowie, Dame Helen Mirren, Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, Brian Cox, Gerard Butler, Colin Farrel, Naomi Campbell, Robert Carlyle, David Jason, Brian May, Roger Daltry, Cilla Black, Terry Wogan, David Attenborough, Alan Cumming, Simon Cowell, Sir Alan Sugar, Daniel Craig, Russell Brand, Joe Pasquale, Rowan Atkinson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes, Kate Winslet, Hugh Lawrie, Stephen Fry, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Stratham, Brian Blessed, Phillip Schofield, Dermot O’Leary, Sir Bruce Forsyth, and so on and so forth – but definitely, absolutely no politicians!

LONDON 2012 ATHLETES ALLOWED TO USE TWITTER.
All athletes at the London Olympics will be allowed to blog and post on Twitter but could be thrown out if their musings breach guidelines.
Competitors may write only “first-person, diary-type” entries but should not act as reporters, International Olympic Committee (IOC) guidelines say.
All social media activity must respect the Olympic Charter, which bans political demonstrations.
Postings deemed to be for commercial purposes will not be permitted.
The guidelines, which were highlighted by the Australian Olympic Committee on Monday after initially being published on the IOC website, explain that the IOC “actively encourages and supports athletes… to take part in ‘social media’ and to post, blog and tweet their experiences”.
But the IOC cautioned that the accreditations of “any organisation or person… may be withdrawn without notice” if its guidelines are breached.
This is taking things to far what does postings for commercial purposes mean?
All sportsmen and women are professional paid athletes as most have big sponsors backing them how can sponsors get their investments back if athletes can’t use social media outlets to promote them and their sponsors.
Greed and power is a terrible thing and should not be allowed in the world of sport and controlled by the few on so many!

MOST PEOPLE THINK LONDON OLYMPIC TICKETS PROCESS UNFAIR.
More than half of Londoners do not think the process for buying Olympic tickets was fair, a survey has suggested.
But London 2012 organisers said they could not think of a better way of giving everyone in the country a chance of getting a ticket.
Of course they could have done it region by region or country by country but oh no they did it by who has the most dosh and influence not forgetting the sponsors, oh yes it was very fair, not!
JUNE 24 OLYMPIC TICKET SALES.
Some 2.3 million tickets for London 2012 are set to go on sale tomorrow morning, organisers have announced.
The tickets, for people who were unsuccessful in the initial ballot, will go on sale at 0600 BST on 24 June on a first come, first served basis.
Of these, 1.7 million are for football matches and 600,000 for other sports, including archery and hockey.
Nearly two-thirds of applicants – some 1.2 million out of 1.9 million – missed out on tickets first time around.
London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe said: “It has been a massive demand which has created huge disappointment.
“I would be hard pushed to see such a demand for any sports event in my lifetime.”
Organisers were “absolutely determined” to get tickets to those who had missed out, he added.
“Our commitment is to get two-thirds of those 1.9 million people to buy a ticket for the 2012 Games if they want to – and we know… they were involved in the application process, are mad sports fans and they want to be there.”
Can anyone remember a sales process where people put up so much money without any real idea what they might end up with?”
Tickets are still available for 310 sessions, 44 of which are medal events including archery, basketball, fencing, judo, synchronised swimming and table tennis.
Some half a million tickets will be priced at £20 or less, with a further one million priced between £20 and £50.
Good luck everyone, somehow we think you will need it!

SFA SAYS NO TO TEAM GB AND BRITISH OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION.
SFA SAYS THERE IS NO AGREEMENT FOR UNITED TEAM GB FOOTBALL TEAM
SNP COMMENT ON TEAM GB CLAIM
Commenting on the SFA’s rejection of claims by the British Olympic
Association that agreement has been reached on a Team GB SNP politicians
at Westminster and Holyrood condemned the BOA’s statement.
Westminster Olympic Spokesman Pete Wishart MP said
“There is united opposition in Scotland from the SFA and the fans to the
idea of a team GB that threatens their independence.
“It is astounding that the BOA have issued this claim without speaking to
the SFA first.
“The plans that the BOA has today laid out would be a gift for those who
wish to end Scotland’s independence as a footballing nation.”
SNP MSP and former Sports Minister Stewart Maxwell added:
“It is utter arrogance of the British Olympic Association and FA to say
they have such a deal.
“The SFA has consistently made clear that it considers a GB team a threat
to Scotland’s footballing independence.
“The BOA must retract this statement immediately.”

CHINESE OLYMPICS TABLE TENNIS TEAM UNSTOPPABLE.
English lessons are compulsory for table tennis players representing China in London, which will give international media a closer look at the sport’s top players such as Olympic champion Ma Lin and world number one Wang Hao.
“This is excellent news,” International Table Tennis Federation President Adham Sharara said in a Press Release.
“It shows the progressive attitude of the Chinese Table Tennis Association and their understanding that the players must be able to communicate with everyone.”
Chinese players currently occupy six out of the top 10 positions in the mens and womens world rankings, including the top five spots in the womens.
The country has traditionally dominated the major tournaments, although the joy of winning gold often turns into stony faced silence in front of international media but it looks like London may be in for a treat, lets hope Team China produces and wins gold for the Chinese peoples.
